1. Who we are

This website is operated by Messaging Studio Inc ("we", "us", "our"), a Delaware corporation. Messaging Studio is the RCS campaign studio from the team at Out There Media. For anything about your information, write to hello@messagingstudio.com

2. What we collect

Nothing while you browse. The website has no accounts, no analytics and no advertising trackers

When you send our contact form, we receive what you type in it: who you are writing as, your name and your email, and, depending on your choice, your company, your country, a phone number and a message. The form marks every optional field

When you join the Founding Users or book a campaign strategy session on one of our pages, we receive your name, your email, your mobile number, whether you sign up as an individual creator, a business, an agency or a carrier, your company or brand, your website or a social profile, the size of your contact list and what your next campaign is for, and for a session, what you would like rich messages to do for your business. When the link that brought you to the page carries campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign and utm_content), we receive those tags with your answers, so we know which of our posts or events you came from

When you join our newsletter, we receive your email

Our RCS calculator runs in your browser, and the numbers you enter in it stay on your device unless you book a session from the calculator page, or join the Founding Users or book a campaign strategy session on a page that shows the calculator after using it. When you do, we receive them with your answers: your brand, your channel, the messages you send each month, your click and conversion rates or your estimates of the people who click and the sales your messages bring, your average revenue per customer, the estimate the calculator showed you, the campaigns you create each month and the hours it showed, the campaign tags in the link that brought you to the page (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign and utm_content, when the link has them) and, for a session booked from the calculator page, your agreement to be contacted about your session and to have your answers stored. Attio, the customer relationship system our team uses, stores them with your name, your email, your mobile number, your company and whether you are an individual creator, a business, an agency or a carrier. You can withdraw your agreement at any time by writing to us

When you meet our team for a campaign strategy session, we keep notes of what we discuss. With your agreement at the start of the call, we record the session

3. How we use your information

We use the details you send to answer you, to schedule and prepare your session, including test messages to the mobile number you give us, and to pass your message to the right person on our team. We send our newsletter only to people who join it, and you can unsubscribe at any time

After you sign up or meet us, we send you a small number of emails about your session and the plan we discussed. Each one lets you stop them, and a reply to any of them reaches our team

We study the answers people give and what our sessions show, across everyone who signs up, to shape our plans, our prices and the studio. Our team uses session recordings for the same purpose. When we show investors or partners what our sessions reveal, we remove names and every detail that identifies you, unless you agree otherwise

We never use your details for advertising and never sell them

Where the law asks for a legal basis, ours is your agreement for the calculator's stored answers, session recordings and the newsletter, under Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation; your request for a session or a reply, under Article 6(1)(b); and our legitimate interest in following up with people who asked about our service and in running this website, under Article 6(1)(f)

4. Cookies and browser storage

This website sets no cookies of its own and stores nothing in your browser

Case study and partner films play in YouTube and Vimeo players that load only when you press play. The YouTube player runs from youtube-nocookie.com and the Vimeo player is set to Do Not Track. From the moment you press play, YouTube or Vimeo may store data on your device under their own policies

5. Data sharing

We share your information only with the services this website needs to run, and we do not sell it. Each service receives your IP address and basic details about your browser when it is used

Hosting

Vercel Inc and Google (Firebase Hosting) deliver the pages and keep short technical logs of each request, such as the time, the page and your IP address, to keep the service secure

Forms

When you send one of our forms, our hosting provider passes it to Attio, run by Attio Ltd, the customer relationship system where our team keeps your details and answers you. When you join the Founding Users or book a campaign strategy session, Google Workspace, run by Google, also emails your answers to the members of our team who schedule your session. Attio also stores the recordings of the sessions we record. Nothing you send reaches anyone else

Fonts

The typefaces Archivo and Manrope load from Google Fonts, run by Google Ireland Limited. Your browser sends your IP address to Google when it requests them. Read the Google privacy policy

Films

Once you press play, YouTube or Vimeo receive your IP address under the Google privacy policy for YouTube and the Vimeo privacy policy

Transfers outside Europe

Our providers process data in the United States and the United Kingdom. For the United Kingdom we rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision, and for providers in the United States on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where they are certified, or on the Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses

6. Data retention and security

We keep no personal data from browsing this website. We keep what you send through our forms, and the recordings of our sessions, for two years after our last exchange, or delete them sooner when you ask. Our hosting providers keep request logs for a short period and then delete them

We apply reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect the information we hold

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, to move it to another service and to object to its use. To use these rights, or to ask how we handle your data, write to hello@messagingstudio.com

We do not sell or share personal information as the California Consumer Privacy Act defines those terms

If you are in the European Union and think we handle your data wrongly, you can also complain to your local data protection authority

8. Children

This website and our sessions are meant for adults acting for themselves or for a business. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes appear on this page with a new effective date
